Eleni Polychroniadou is an impact entrepreneur, dedicated to unlocking the untapped power within every individual and empowering them to act for a better world. Her work spans from grassroots community engagement to top-down collaboration with policymakers and financial institutions, bridging the gaps between sustainability knowledge and climate action to catalyse transformative change.

At the young age of 28, Eleni co-founded Sintali, an environmental verification company focused on bringing transparency and credibility to climate action. Under her leadership, the company has grown from a modest 3-person team to a dynamic group of 17 within four years, the revenue has more than tripled, and its geographic distribution has expanded to over 80 countries. Her business development and international business acumen have garnered her various accolades, including the Young Director of the Year, a Rising Star in ESG, and Young Businesswoman of the Year. In 2024, she was formally appointed as CEO of Sintali to lead the organisation’s expansion into new service lines and new offices across the world.

As a global citizen fluent in three languages, Eleni brings a unique perspective to the intersection of business and environmental responsibility. Her systemic thinking approach addresses challenges across sustainability realms, from clean technology to climate policy to green buildings. A compelling public speaker, she has shared her insights at over 20 conferences across 8 countries in 3 languages, including a TEDx talk.

Beyond her work at Sintali, Eleni is deeply committed to fostering community engagement and supporting the next generation of sustainability leaders. She actively mentors other startups and young women in sustainability, and engages in community initiatives through the Climate Reality Project and Global Shapers. Eleni also serves as a Trustee of the National Biodiversity Network Trust, the UK’s largest partnership for nature data.

In her spare time, Eleni is an amateur wildlife photographer, working to bring attention to the natural world and the importance of conservation through visual storytelling.
